MachineValley's Double Shaft Mixing Reactor/Kettle runs two shafts in one tank: a dissolver disc up to 1440 rpm for breaking down pigment and agglomerates, and a slower scraper that sweeps the wall and base the whole time it's running. On bigger batches especially, that second shaft is the difference between an even mix and a ring of unmixed material stuck to the sides.
